The latest addition to LG’s Black Label series of handsets is the KF750, informally known as The Secret. Highly touted by LG, with its own website and multimedia introduction, the Secret is an ultra-slim, ultra-sytlish handset made from high-quality materials which form one of its main claims to fame.

Most of the KF750 Secret’s case is made from carbon fibre, which strengthens the body of the phone and provides a stylish as well as protective back panel, which many users will find nice as it doesn’t scratch or ding like metal. The front of the phone is dominated by tempered glass, which covers not only the 2.4 inch screen, but also the touch-sensitive buttons on the face of the phone. The glass adds a measure of style, as well as the protection and comfort of knowing that the screen won’t break if dropped.

Overall, this slider phone, at 11.8 mm thick, offers an extremely fashionable look. The tempered glass and carbon fiber, combined with a stylish keypad, make the phone look great, and the keypad is also extremely useable and clean.

Users do not always have a clear cue as to what a particular button does, or how to do certain tasks. While the touch screen works great for operating the phone, it is completely non-functional in the web browser. Many users will find it frustrating to navigate the phone by touch, but then be unable to use the touch screen when browsing the web.
The LG KF750 Secret’s connection capabilities are very impressive, including HSPDA and Bluetooth 2.0. Surfing the web with HSPDA is very fast, and users will appreciate the connection even if they find the browser’s button-powered navigation a little frustrating.

A 5-megapixel digital camera gives users the ability to take great photos with their phones. This is an important feature for people frustrated with wimpy camera phones, and offers an extra capability to improve the Secret’s overall offering. In-phone editing of photos and videos makes this camera even more useful.

The LG Secret also features an accelerometer, which literally brings a new dimension to games by letting users move their phones to navigate in the space of the game. While the included games are limited, there is a lot of potential for outside developers to create games for the LG Secret. Users can probably expect to download a lot of games in the future and have a great time with the Secret.

The LG Secret also contains a music player and radio, though it does not focus on being a music phone. The primary focus is the camera, which outguns most mobile phone cameras and lets users edit their photos immediately.

Conclusion

As a very stylish camera phone, the LG KF750 Secret is close to the top of its category in both categories. However, the limited touch ability (you can work with documents on the phone by touch, but not in your web browser) and limited built-in game set make the phone a poor shadow of what it could be.

The LG Secret is very stylish and well-built, and the carbon-fibre and tempered glass make it a sturdy phone capable of taking a lot of abuse. On the whole, it’s not the phone it could be, but there is great potential for LG to create a new model that lives up to the promise of the original LG Secret.

overall the lg secret seems a very stylish well built phone but does it have a lot of memory space?

this lg phone seems to look really great and my daughter really wants on too bad because she doesn’t have good enough grades for it sorry I really needed to come clean.

I agree with Maria and Emily the phone is very well proportioned and has alot of memory space , but if you don’t have those A’s you can’t get the praise . I know I have four kids of my own.

The LG Secret definitely does look good but LG’s latest mobile phone, the LG Cookie also looks promising. Sure, it’s not a good camera phone but music-wise, style-wise and budget-wise, it would probably be one of the best selling phones this Holiday.
