Samsung has announced the upcoming release of two new music related mobile phones. The Samsung M3200, also known as the ‘Beat S’, is a phone aimed people who love to listen to music on their phones. It definitely turns up the volume for mobile music lovers. The Samsung M3510 (right) was also announced and has the same feature set as the M3200 but excludes the Bang & Olufsen chip described below.
The new slider design features dedicated music buttons. Users who enjoy listening to their music sans headphones will be pleased to hear that it also features stereo loudspeakers and a featured Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio chip for added thump and clarity. Music lovers who are attached to their earpieces, however, will also be pleased to hear that the phone includes a 3.5mm audio jack and not a cranky adaptor. It includes a 2-inch QVGA display and a 2MP camera, along with an auto-EQ equalizer function to automatically adjust the sound according to various genres of music.
Stereo Bluetooth, for use with equipped headsets, is also included as well as a FM radio with RDS and audio recording plus Shake control to affect music play. The included Motion play also allows you to play and pause music by tapping the chassis and muting music by turning the phone face downwards. It adds a new control and ease of use to playing and customizing your music experience. It accepts MicroSD memory cards up to 8GB.
The Samsung M3200 is scheduled for release sometime in early to mid-October.
