It’s almost official, nearly official, well it’s officially nearly official that the first ever Nokia touchscreen mobile phone is edging ever closer to be officially announced – October 2nd to be precise. According to reports, two industry sources have announced that Nokia will be officially unveiling the 5800 ‘Tube’ this Thursday at a media event in London.
This is the first Nokia phone running the S60 touch interface therefore, obviously it is going to be a full touchscreen mobile phone. Expect it to be a touchy feely mobile with the power of Symbian just like the iPhone and its rivals, with a 3.2 in. screen displaying 16 million colours, HSDPA, 3megapixel camera, GPS as well as WiFi.
Now you are in for a big surprise. Believe it or not the Nokia 5800 is not I repeat not an Nseries mobile phone. Why? Just look at its release date- October 2nd. Nokia has placed it very squarely in the midrange express series to coincide with the Nokia official launch of the Comes with Music service which allows you to download unlimited free tracks.
If you’re looking for a zingy touchscreen mobile phone and you are an avid music lover in this Nokia bad boy will be readily available at the right price for Christmas.I can’t wait to see the perfect end result when Nokia to eventually upgrade this phone to N series.
