philipsxeniumx500_2 Philips Xenium X500 - Standby Time Upto 2 Months!Philips are set to to add to their Xenium Series with the introduction of their latest model the X500. One of the key features of Philips handsets is the astonishingly long life of the batteries, and the X500 does not fail to disappoint.

The Philips Xenium X500 comes with a 1720 mAh battery, and call time for the phone is said to be upto 16 hours, and standby time is claimed to be an astonishing 2 months – wow! The battery life should also last upto 40 hours in music playback mode too.

Sadly, the mega long battery life is about the only decent feature on this phone though. The camera quality is poor at only 1.3 megapixels and only 10MB internal memory is available ( expansion upto 2GB via microSD card). The X500 also sports a 1.8 inch TFT display, FM radio, Music player, Bluetoth and supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz).

There is no word on pricing, but the Philips Xenium X500 will be available first in China, followed by Russia and Eastern Europe.
