123 Recognise This Phone From Anywhere? The Chinese are forever pumping out copycat mobile phones. This time however, the latest offering from the Far East is an imitation of not one, but two different mobile phones mixed into one. Chinavasion have announced for sale The Projector Phone CVSL-122, and as well as having a menu interface exactly like the one found on the iPhone, the bottom half keypad is undoubtably taken from a Nokia 5320 design.

It is claimed that the projector can be viewed from upto 5 feet and display an image of 32 x 40 inches.

Other features inclucde a 2.4 inch touchscreen, 1.3 Megapixel camera, MP3 & MP4 player and also includes a micro SD card slot with 1GB memory card.

Available from www.chinavasion.com for $373.

So, has anyone bought or tried out one of these phones?

Although I have never purchased this particular phone, I have in the past bought a fake iPhone from eBay. It cost me around £100, and it turned out to be a pile of rubbish.

From the outside these clones look pretty good, but the technology inside these phones are absolutely nothing like the originals. If you cant afford the real thing, and want to pretend that you have an iPhone, then these fake phones could be the answer. But be prepared to be frustrated.

Everyone copies off Apple for everything. It is so very sad. I don’t understand why companies can’t just innovate for themselves. If it weren’t for Apple, people would probably still be using DOS.

Many products from China are imitating from other famous products, not only mobile phones, but also motorcycles, rolex watches, DVD Players, and many more.

If we are not careful, we could be disappointed because the quality is usually very low . . .. .. : (
