g705_frontopen Sony Ericsson Announce G705Sony have announced for release the super stylish G705, which although aimed at the mid range market, comes fully loaded with some interesting specifications.

The G705 will come with: a 2.4 in. (240×320px) TFT display w/ 256k colors, A-GPS, Wi-Fi and DLNA, quad-band GSM and HSDPA connectivity, full HTML browser, music and video players, Bluetooth 2.0 w/ A2DP, a 3.2 megapixel camera w/ fixed focus and flash, 120MB internal memory, and not to mention the 1GB M2 card that is free from Sony Ericsson.

So it is yummy, is it smart? Generally it is going to be made to run off of a Java platform. In Sony Ericsson G-Series lingo, it isn’t going to run on Symbian UIQ nor on any other mobile OS so that it isn’t going to be THAT smart.

Being partially numb in the brains, it is also a light-weight and compact beauty. Weighing in at 3.45 ounces and measuring 3.77in. x 1.85in. x 0.56in. when it is not slid open, it sure is light-weight and compact

Not to mention this phone is also going to be in different versions for people that want it but live in different regions of the world. North and South American’s will be looking at a G705 with quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity. There will also be a version for the European and Asian market which is to be out by October 2008 and the America’s version should be out by the first quarter of 2009.

Pricing details for this phone hasn’t been announced as of yet.
