Sony Ericsson unveils their plan to release a MOBO Edition of its popular W910i Walkman phone. The unveiling comes just over a month away from the 2008 MOBO Awards which will take place on October 15, 2008 at the Wembley Arena in London, UK.
Details are a bit hard to find, for now that is, but what information we’ve found is that the W910i MOBO phone will be on sale sometime late 2008. That is, only in the UK. Be noted though, you’d be able to get it only through Carphone Warehouse. Pricing details haven’t been announced either but more likely it will cost more than the original W910i which retails at around £175.
Hints and rumours also say that the W910i MOBO Edition phone will probably come preinstalled with MOBO content, meaning that there will be tons of free music supplied which is always nice.
The MOBO Awards was established in 1995 to recognize and celebrate outstanding music and artists from black origin. Last years winners include Kanye West for Best Video, and DJ Tim Westwood who picked up the award for Best DJ.

I’m afraid of of an older generation that thinks phones are for talking to other people rather than listening to music.
It’s always good to learn new things though.
