Design
This beautifully designed handset is a shimmering clamshell opening phone that is both practical in its use in remote areas and will also be an attractive accessory which is reflective of the attitude, point of view and lifestyle choices of its bearer. With dual screens for viewing capabilities both internally and externally as the mirrored fascia comes to life when activated.
The ‘mirror’ effect glossy coating of the outer shell’s surface illuminates with an OLED display that floats on its surface and make the essentials such as time, battery life and reception level conveniently visible. The top of the device’s surface is only broken by the lens of the 2-megapixel camera. Small and barely discernable from the glossy surface, the combination multimedia/volume buttons lay on the left side of the Z750i whilst the Memory Stick Micro slot is similarly located on the right. You will find the all-in-one connection port on the base of the handset so there is nothing to mar the flawless surface.
Upon flipping the shell open you are met with a surprising retro style array of solid straight sided number keys contrast with the rounded contours of the soft keys, shortcut buttons and send/end keys. You may have difficulties picking the difference between the Sony Ericsson Z750i and the Z610i, (as there is only a 3mm difference) with the easy to view large internal TFT screen providing 262,144 colours with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.
The phone arrives in a svelte suede pouch protecting the mirror-like casing which is 20mm deep, 97.4mm high & 49mm wide. The Sony Ericsson Z750i is smooth to the touch but solid in its handling, weighing 110 grams. There is a choice of 2 striking colours; phantom Black or the feminine rose pink so you can both have the opportunity to be the talk of the town.

The Z750i has Web-focused inclusions that will keep you in constant contact with the outside world. Capture your happy snaps and moments worth videoing with the 2-megapixel camera which although it doesn’t have flash and autofocus, it does have a 2.5x digital zoom, Panorama, a frame and burst shooting mode and a 10-second self-timer. A VGA camera is mounted above the internal display so you can utilise the video calling feature on the network. Use your phone as if it were a PC as it allows RSS feeds and in a few easy steps you can take a snap, write a description and publish it on the Internet as a blog!
The Z750i supports a Memory Stick Micro (M2) and a 128MB M2 card is included in the sales package as it only supports 32MB of internal memory. Great for today’s busy lifestyle you can set an alarm. Keep your diary via the calendar, remind yourself of tasks to do, calculate and make notes, time yourself and use the stopwatch and synchronise all your data with your computer.
