An ace up the sleeve: The HTC Touch Pro from Sprint

sprint-htc-touch-pro-166x300 An ace up the sleeve: The HTC Touch Pro from SprintSprint’s US-exclusive on the HTC Touch Diamond is ending, but the wireless carrier has another reason to be happy: the launch of the HTC Touch Pro.

Starting October 26, Sprint will be giving customers a chance to get their hands on one of the more anticipated Windows Mobile phones of the year. Like its touchscreen cousin, the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC Touch Pro uses a 2.8-inch full VGA touchscreen display that’s fast becoming the primary standard in the smartphone segment. Unlike the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC Touch Pro features a slide-out keyboard waiting to be used whenever needed.

The phone works with Sprint’s EVDO data network to pull down wireless data at just about 3G speeds. And, with WiFi, integrated GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD card slot, and a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, it’s loaded and ready.

The Sprint HTC Touch Pro will launch through select Sprint retailers on Oct. 26 for $299.99 when purchased with new contract and the higher data plans. The $300 price-point also applies to purchases on any Sprint Everything plan. All Sprint channels will pick up the Sprint HTC Touch Pro on November 2, and we’re quite sure they’ll be pretty hot stuff, so put in your order early if you want one.
