And the field gets more crowded: HP to release two new smartphones in the UK

hhh6965-h1 And the field gets more crowded: HP to release two new smartphones in the UKHP will be joining the growing crowd of smartphone providers when it partners with Vodafone to release two new devices for various markets.

Hewlett Packard made the launch announcement at the Simbian Smartphone show in the UK. The devices will be called the iPAQ Data Messenger and Voice Messenger phones (doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue), and will be available in the UK next month.

The HP iPAQ Data Messenger has a full sliding keyboard and a 2.8-inch touch-sceen, while the iPAQ Voice messenger also has a 2.4-inch screen but no touch-screen. Curious what kind of market they’ll carve out with competition from Blackberry and Apple, but that’s why i’m not a electronics exec, I suppose.

Both of the Windows Mobile 6.1 devices offer a 3.1-megapixel camera and come equipped with HSPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth data services. Prices were not announced, but are expected to be comparable with existing smartphones.

I think that some bloggers are creative and others are clearly wasting their time. Site is just a tool and like any tool it can be used for good, for ill or for wasting time.
