storm-spec-sheet-presspics Blackberry Storm; King Of The Business Phone Now Challenges The iPhoneIs there now finally a bona fide challenger to the Apple iPhone? Blackberry’s newest smartphone, the Blackberry Storm, may just give the iPhone a run for its money. With the current influx and overcrowding in the smartphone marketplace today, Blackberry has had to rethink its design and marketing strategy. Blackberry has only ever had a business focus in the past which is evident from the limited choice of smartphone features that have previously been available.

The Blackberry Storm has changed all that. Blackberry has now come with an extra special answer to iPhone’s current firm grip on the market. Blackberry also needed to contend with all the new entrants threatening their niche player position i.e. the introduction of the Google android phones and the ever increasing popularity of smartphones in general.

With a new 3.25 in. 480 x 360 resolution touch screen and new attractive/professional user interface, Blackberry is striving to maintain success in the enterprise arena. The Blackberry Storm also has a host of other new features not seen before such as a visual QWERTY keyboard, integrated GPS, an Accelorometer, MicroSD support with 1GB of onboard memory, Bluetooth, built-in hands-free, 624MHz processor, 3G, 3.5 millimetre stereo headphone jack , EDGE, a 3.2 megapixel camera and mini USB connectivity.

Traditionally regarded as just messaging tool, Blackberry Storm sets itself apart from its predecessors with features that you would normally expect to find on a Nokia N-series phone. It is also obvious that Blackberry is looking to seal the deal with an impressive array of new applications.

So the message is very loud and clear …Blackberry has no intention of relinquishing the crown in the kingdom of the business phone with the launch of the Blackberry Storm.
