For some people, a mobile phone is just that – a phone which they can carry around. As long as the phone performs its primary function of making and receiving calls they are happy. They have no need for fancy cameras, slidey out QWERTY keyboards, or internet access, and they certainly wonder why phone blogs such as ThingsAboutPhones.com exist. Nokia have released a phone which is perfect for these types of people.
Enter the Nokia 2610; a basic entry level phone currently available on Pay As you Go for a stupidly low price of just £9.95.
What do you get for your money? The design is very straightforward with a simple keypad and interface. As expected for such a cheap phone, there are no fun features like a camera or radio, but it does come with an intergrated handsfree speaker, has a decent size screen with 65,000 colours, an excellent battery life of upto 5 hours talk time (upto 15 on standby) and 3MB internal memory.
Although the specifications of this phone are nothing to get excited about, for such a low price, the Nokia 2610 is ideal as a spare or emergency phone . It’s also tri-band so you can use it almost anywhere in the world, making it the perfect phone to take on holiday if you’re worried about losing your shiny new iPhone.

You might as well give me the 10 dollars and I’ll make you two cans put together with some string, which this basically is.
