Finally, some more long-awaited information has been leaked about the Nokia 7100s Supernova.
Nokia it is adding the little slider design Supernova to its basic phone range and it will have an S40 user interface. Images of the 1.3 megapixel camera should look good with a 262k color QVGA active TFT display.
Supernova also promises to be a bit of fun with its included multimedia capabilities such as video player, MP3 player, and FM radio. File storage and transfer is no problem is the Supernova comes with a microSD card slot, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0. Other features include Opera mini pre installed, Flashlight 2.1.1 support, Java MIDP 2.0 and e-mail support.
Unfortunately the Nokia 7100s isn’t supported by three G as it is intended to be included in the basic range, but it is how it is supported by Edge on this tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) device.
As we have only ever found information from Czech web sites in the past, we can but assume that the Nokia 7100s Supernova has been designed specifically for the Eastern European markets. We can guesstimate the price to be about US $280 although there is no official release date or any official information currently available. One thing that we can be certain of, (if things do not unfold differently), is that the price is really overrated for a cheap looking phone that is not feature rich.
