A mysterious online advertising campaign has stirred rumours with promotional videos and websites (such as jadesphone.com) that have led many to believe that Nokia will be releasing a new phone on Monday.
The advert features a video of three separate young adults out clubbing with friends, with the voice-over discussing how phones have become an integrated part of our lives, holding all of our private information. The promotional video comes as a surprise as Nokia have only just released the N96 with the usual suspects for advertising.
The hype for this potential phone has quickly taken over the online world and people are suggesting the phone will be a youth targeted device for socialites. The videos end with “would you look at my phone?” and seem more like a drama than advertising. Since they are discussing how phones hold secrets, perhaps there is a secret that Nokia wishes to share with us?
