Okay, so maybe they’re not fueding, but two of Samsung’s newest models will feature dual 2.2″ screens. We’re curious as to how Samsung can claim to be the first phone maker to offer two 2.2″ screens, which the LG Voyager and other phones clearly have two screens. Perhaps Samsung chose such particular wording in their description so they could claim a first. But honestly, that’s like having a phone that is a reverse clam shell style just to say you’re first.
The purpose of the new dual screens is to replace the traditional OLED screen on the front. The new screen will allow access to music videos, mail, plus any data which may be stored on the handset. It’s not doubt that this extra functionality with dual screens will drain the battery faster, which is why most handsets use OLED screens in the first place. The phones are equipped with a 3 megapixel camera and are 3G compatiable, but there’s no word on when they’ll be available on the market.
